Intermountain Financial Group, LLC. (IFG) sponsored the first ever Women in Insurance and Financial Services (W.I.F.S.) luncheon in Utah on Wednesday. This luncheon signified a big step forward for Utah’s women by developing the first and only local Utah Chapter of W.I.F.S., a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting women in the financial services industry.
Renee Tribe, LUTCF, and Amber Dixon, who are affiliated with IFG, began working on developing this chapter back in 2008 with the support from their General Agent, Todd A. Reid, JD*, CLF. On Wednesday their hard work came to fruition where board members were selected and potential members applied. “We had a great group of women who attended our luncheon,” stated Renee Tribe, the Chapter’s president. “Because W.I.F.S. is dedicated to encouraging and advancing the success of women in the financial services arena, I felt very strongly about starting a local chapter to help Utah’s women working in this field with a place to collaborate.”
IFG is the Utah agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), a Diamond Level partner of the national W.I.F.S. group. “As the General Agent of IFG, I have always had a commitment towards helping women succeed in the insurance and financial services industry,” said Todd A. Reid, JD, CLF, General Agent. “Sponsoring the luncheon was my way of showing my support and the support of our agency to the many talented Utah women in our field.”

IFG allied with MassMutual’s efforts through assisting in the formation of a local W.I.F.S. Utah chapter, which was another way of sustaining that growth.
